 Flounder Fest Poster Winners By Ted Vega - Photography By Ed Snyder/Outdoors The 1st Annual Flounder Fest was a great success, The High Island School District's Art classes provide a variety of art posters for the 1st Annual Flounder Fest poster contest. Forty Four students submitted posters that were displayed at the flounder fest. Visitors were asked to submit fill out a entry forms to select a winner from each category. On October 25th Ted Vega President of the Gilchrist Community Association President presented award Certificates and monetary prizes too the 1st Annual Flounder Fest Art Poster Contest winners. Vega stated that the GCA is very committed to being a significant participant in our involvement with the Bolivar Peninsula communities, and to the preservation of Rollover Pass.
