Congratulations, Bob on opening up a new palce on the beach. The pizzas were very good and we even were able to have them delivered. Can't wait to come back down and get some more. Don't get mad, but these pizzas are better than the ones you serve at Bob's. But in a good way, having the number one AND number two is a good thing. Your loving sister. |

For the best Seafood think CASEY's at Galveston. Best Shrimp and Fish Dishes to be found in this area. Prices make the trip across to Galveston well worth the time it takes. Don't be fooled by the wana be's... Get the most bang for your buck at CASEY's - Galveston on the Sea wall...... See Ya there...... |

Best Seafood ? Casey's? Never heard of the place. Who in their right mind would wait on the ferry for anything located in Galveston ? If you were over in Galveston , your obviuos choice would be Saltgrass or Gaido"s. Everyone knows this !!!!!!!! |

Well it is obvious you have not expierenced the best Sea Food for the best price in this area.... First of all Salt Grass is mainly a steak house.... And I bet you did not know that the same kitchen and cheifs that prepare the Sea Food for the over priced Gaido's also prepares the Sea Food for CASEY's.... Most of the local's that are really "local's" already knew that .... Maybe you should try CASEY's before you start putting them down..... Since you agree that Gaido's has great sea food you owe it to yourself to try CASEY's food at a lot less cost for the same food from the same chiefs cooked in the same kitchen........ Go to Salt Grass for steak........ And I agree with you the Salt Grass does cook a mean steak........ |

Like I mentioned earlier, who in their right mind would wait in the ferry line to go to Galveston for anything. You may be correct about Casey's but over here on the peninsula I would sooner drive to Winnie for Al T's or go in to Beaumont to the real deal Pappaduexs'. As a added bonus, gas and deisel is cheaper in Winnie and Beaumont. Not to mention the great Mexican food places, Sam's Club and most other large city benefits. The ferry system just does not get the job done. If you live on the mainland, you are correct. This is a Peninsula site. People are fed up with the Ferry and their pick and choose security checks. Your engine is still running as you wait two hours back and forth unless you really are crazy and want to suck up to the sweltering heat. Good luck to Casey's. I had heard about the same kitchen staff and food. What a racket they have going on !!!! Never ceases to amaze. By the way, your posts are good but the Pizza at this place is outstanding. Lets get on a seafood restaurant and continue this debate. |

You will have a rough time having the beauty of the Gulf in the back ground while you dine at those restruants in Winnie and Beaumont..... I don't know if the wait for the ferry would be any worse than the drive and the long wait for a table at the places you have recomended in Winnie and Beaumont!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have always been seated right away at CASEY's and been served promptly...... As far as good pizza I believe Mama Theresa's at HWY87 at Tidelands has the best real Italian style pizza and real Italian dishes...... We do enjoy dining at Bob's for his good ole style hambugers....... You would be hard pressed to find one better around here at Crystal Beach..... |
