New Bolivar Peninsula Marsh Point Sporting and Yacht Club

The Bolivar Peninsula has more in store than modern resorts and the nation's most affordable oceanfront property - Crown Team Texas announces a sporting and yacht club with three locations and water taxi service to Galveston Island.

The Marsh Point Club was announced with a two day social event that included tours of all three of facilities.
  • The Farm Hunting Lodge
  • The Marsh Point Grande Lodge and Boat House
  • The Laguna Harbor Yacht Club and Galveston Water Taxi

Members of the Houston Safari Club were present and offered hunting exhibitions at the Marsh Point Hunting Lodge Facility. Bird and gator hunting with helicopter tours made for an exciting time at the social's first day of events. Linda Donaho from the Houston Safari Club "got a gator" and described how she skinned it and how she and her husband Kemler have hunted all over the world.

The Marsh Point Club will offer a social setting for hunting, fishing, boating, fine dining and shopping trips to and from Galveston Island via a water taxi service. A fleet of boats of various sizes is available for club members to use for fishing or recreation as needed by reservation.

"We expect even more interest in the Bolivar Peninsula area and for our new resort properties with the something-for-everybody lifestyle amenities and features the three Marsh Point Club facilities will offer." - said Jim Hayes, Senior Partner of Crown Team Texas

The Marsh Point Club is the perfect compliment to the many new and modern resorts being developed and planned over the next several years. The lack of high-end social amenities has been a concern for some of the higher-end resort home owners, but that has not stopped the boom of interest in the Bolivar Peninsula.

There are six new resorts currently under development and a 1000 home - 3000 acre development in the planning stages. Modern utilities are now available including sewer, high-speed internet, cable, cell and plenty of fresh drinking water.

New construction techniques pioneered on the Bolivar Peninsula and strict building codes are enabling a new class of oceanfront resort homes that are hurricane and flood resistant. Some are even certified by the I.B.H.S. to withstand category 3 hurricanes with little or no damage.

The Institute for Business & Home Safety (I.B.H.S.) is a nonprofit association that engages in communication, education, engineering and research.

The Bolivar Peninsula is one of the few markets in the county with sound real estate fundamentals. The properties are affordable and 12 million people are only a few hours drive away from the area's 30 miles of pristine beachfront and sub-tropical climate.

Both sales volume and median prices are steadily increasing and yet still almost half that of the nationwide average for oceanfront property.

With 20 billion dollars of capital for new energy plants already pouring into the Beaumont Port Arthur areas only 45 minutes from the Peninsula, it's no wonder that Bolivar is considered the Best Best for oceanfront living on the Texas Gulf Coast and is attracting investors and buyers from all over the country.

These country club type amenities are good for the second home market buyers. The Yacht Club and Water Taxi service offer the widest appeal.

Hah! This is a crock. These guys apparently don't even have the cash to finish out the developments they've already started.

It'll never happen
