The ANNUAL Meeting of all members, officers and directors of the Bolivar Peninsula Cultural Foundation will be held on Thursday December 5, 2013 at the Bay Vue Methodist Church at 10:00 AM. The meeting is open to all members of BPCF and anyone in the community that is interested in art, history and music that would like to join BPCF.
Election of officers and a review of 2013 and plans for 2014 will be on the agenda.

Crystal Beach Peninsula Sisters cordially invite you to our Annual Winnie Arboretum 2013 Christmas. Sing, dance, Gifts and Hugs ~ COME help us BLESS them all. December 7, 11:00 am. The more HUGS and smiles these seniors receive…it is a MERRY CHRISTMAS for all! PS~ AARP and the Knitters have blankets for all the residents. Annual Holiday Bike Drive
Each year, your donations help Bolivar Peninsula children have the opportunity to get a new bike! Please submit your donations to the Bolivar Peninsula Chamber of Commerce, PO Box 1170, Crystal Beach, TX 77650.
Or simply stop by the Chamber office, 1750 Hwy 87, between 10am-2pm, Monday-Friday.
Join us as we kickoff the 2014 Texas Crab Festival Campaign with a public meeting the Third Thursday of the month at The Joe Faggard Community Center. NO November meeting. Next meeting December 19, 2013 @ 6pm @ The Community Center. The Crab Festival is more than a celebration of the great music, art and food of the Texas Gulf Coast. It also serves as a vehicle to promote local businesses, organizations, artists and charitable causes. It also means funding for local youth scholarships, youth-development programs and charitable projects that benefit everyone on Bolivar Peninsula. But we need volunteers - committee chairpersons, workers, sponsors, vendors and more to make it happen. Be Bolivar Proud...get involved, get excited and help us get ready for the 2014 Festival. Hope to see you there on the 21st and the 3rd Thursday of every month at 6:00pm as we work together to continue the wave of success with another fun, fabulous and successful Texas Crab Festival! Have Fun and Help to Build a Stronger Community.
CHRISTMAS DANCE & ANNUAL TOY DRIVE
A Christmas Dance & Annual Toy Drive benefiting the Bolivar Community Outreach Program, sponsored by the Lighthouse Krewe, will be held onSaturday, December 7, 2013 at Sharky’s. Doors open 6:00 pm. Butch Leger & Centerfire plays from 7 to 11 pm. Silent & Live Auctions, Door Prizes. Everyone invited, please bring $10 or unwrapped toy [per person].

Galveston County Small Business Development Center announces October, November and December Classes & Workshop Calendar. The Galveston County SBDC is a business consulting and training center of the University of Houston Small Business Development Center Network. The UH SBDC Network serves 32 counties in Southeast Texas. Funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration.
